HEINEKEN Achieves 30% of OpCo Revenue with a Mobile-First B2B Platform

Case Study Overview
HEINEKEN, one of the world’s leading brewers, operates in over 190 countries, including the APAC region, where fragmented trade dominates the grocery retail market. A key challenge for a global F&B giant like HEINEKEN was to find a scalable ecommerce solution to digitize routes to its B2B customers and get an all-around view of non-chain retail in the APAC region to build a superior customer experience.
To solve this complex business case in the context of rapid regional expansion, HEINEKEN chose Virto Commerce to build mobile-friendly portals and applications through which distributors sell HEINEKEN products to small retailers and restaurants.
Launched first in APAC in 2018, Virto’s Commerce Innovation Platform is now a core part of HEINEKEN ecommerce in more than 20 countries.
