A Yokohama unit updates B2B ecommerce
A U.S. subsidiary of Yokoyama Rubber is overhauling its b2b ecommerce platform.
Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America Inc., which produces, all-terrain tires for OTR machinery of agriculture, forestry, construction, mining, and related industries, has launched an updated B2B ecommerce features that include real-time product availability by warehouse, searchable catalog by product name, SKU number or size, quick-order features that speed the reordering process and order status and tracking.
The new ecommerce site, which is accessible by mobile app, also lets distributors order tires from warehouses or place a shipping container order online directly at a manufacturing facility and track shopping and delivery in real-time.
“The new ecommerce portal is another way we are supporting our customers,” says Yokohama Off-Highway Tires of America marketing vice president Bruce Besancon. “Our customers are running their businesses at all hours. They’re out in the field, they’re on-site with their customers, and when they need information, they need it instantly. We’ve created a system that helps them manage their inventory and serve their customers.”
Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America Inc. was rebranded by Yokoyama Rubber in 2021 and operates two distribution centers in Columbus, Ohio and Auburn, Georgia. Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America and distributes nearly 4,000 tire SKUs, the company says.
Yokohama manufactures six tire brands: Advan, Avid, BluEarth, Geolander, Iceguard and Parad.
